Product Details

This is a heavy-duty automated assembly line specifically engineered for the mass production of outdoor high-power LED street lights and integrated solar lamps. Addressing the challenges posed by large dimensions, substantial weight, and time-consuming sub-processes (such as wiring and controller debugging), this production system employs a high-load capacity dual-speed chain (Welt) conveyor. This design ensures stable transportation of heavy components while utilizing the flexible accumulation capability of the welt chain to effectively resolve common bottleneck issues in heavy assembly lines.

I. Conveyor System & Layout Configuration

The backbone of the line is an industrial-grade heavy-duty welt conveyor, chosen for its exceptional load-bearing capacity and smooth operation. The layout features standardized independent workstations lined along both sides. These stations are topped with anti-static or wear-resistant green padding, facilitating note-taking and pre-assembly of small parts. Overhead, flexible aluminum cantilever lamp frames and LED light strips are installed to provide adjustable localized illumination based on specific task requirements. Furthermore, the spacious facility layout and abundant natural light enhance operator comfort and reduce reliance on extensive artificial lighting.

II. Core Assembly Process Flow

The assembly process for street lights is relatively complex, involving multiple disciplines such as sheet metal fabrication, electronics, and optics. The workflow is arranged as follows:

  1. Luminaire Pre-assembly: At dedicated stations, pre-assemble the LED modules, heat sinks, and driver power supplies into a complete luminaire head.
  2. Pole/Housing Preparation: Perform final cleaning of the street light poles or integrated die-cast housings, inspecting threaded connections or flanges for flatness.
  3. Electrical Wiring & Sealing: Join the luminaire head to the pole/housing, completing the connection of main cables, ground wires, and waterproof connectors. Conduct seal integrity tests (typically using air-tightness detectors).
  4. Control System Debugging: Install solar charge controllers or AC mains control boards, perform initial power-on tests, and set photocell/timer parameters.
  5. Final Integration & Fastening: Mount the top photovoltaic (PV) panel (for solar lights) or perform final closure, securing critical screws with high-torque electric nut runners.

III. Quality Control & Testing Architecture

The mid-section of the line integrates multi-function test interfaces linked to the central PLC. If insulation resistance is too low, the controller shows no output, or the luminaire flickers, the system automatically locates the fault and triggers an alarm. All finished products undergo rigorous IP protection rating tests (such as simulated high-pressure water jetting for waterproof validation) and aging “marquee” tests before leaving the line, ensuring long-term reliability in harsh outdoor environments.

IV. Technical Specifications

  • Target Products: 30W – 300W LED Street Lights / Integrated Solar Lamps
  • Line Speed: Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), 4–10 meters/minute (depending on assembly complexity)
  • Conveyor Type: Heavy-duty dual-speed chain with lateral transfer and vertical lift capabilities
  • Pneumatics: 0.6–0.8 MPa (For pneumatic pressing, gluing equipment, and large torque tightening tools)
  • Load Capacity: ≥50 kg per pallet/work carrier

V. Design Advantages

By incorporating the welt chain accumulation mechanism, this street light assembly line gains strong anti-jamming capabilities; even during temporary lifting of heavy components or complex wiring operations, the entire line does not come to a halt. The independent workstation design not only isolates operational noise but also provides ample buffer space for quality inspection and packaging, making it an ideal solution for outdoor lighting manufacturers seeking to scale up production capacity.
