This automated assembly line is engineered specifically for the mass production of T8/T5 fluorescent tubes and their LED counterparts. Addressing the inherent challenges of handling long, slender, and fragile glass components alongside precision electronics, the line utilizes an “aluminum extrusion frame with anti-static flat belt” conveying system. This design ensures smooth transitions and prevents impact damage during high-speed operation.
I. Conveyor System & Layout Configuration
The structural backbone consists of industrial-grade aluminum extrusions, providing a rigid yet visually transparent framework. The core transport medium is a green anti-static flat belt. Its low-friction, perfectly planar surface prevents glass tubes from rolling or sustaining abrasions during transit. Dense transverse guide rails facilitate an efficient “U-shaped” or “In-line” recirculation layout, enabling rapid cycling of empty pallets and fixtures between loading zones and assembly stations. Overhead LED strip lighting guarantees optimal work plane illumination, essential for operators performing intricate tasks such as inserting fine lead pins and soldering.
II. Core Assembly Process Flow
The workflow is optimized for the precision requirements of lighting manufacturing:
III. Quality Control & Testing Architecture
The line integrates audio-visual alarm systems interfaced with the central PLC. If a unit exhibits internal shorts, abnormal driver no-load conditions, or fails to ignite, the system automatically diverts it to a dedicated rework lane. All finished goods undergo automated burn-in screening prior to dispatch to ensure light decay (lumen maintenance) remains strictly within industry standards.
IV. Technical Specifications
V. Design Advantages
Leveraging the modularity of aluminum extrusions, this tube light assembly line offers exceptional flexibility, allowing workstation spacing to be adjusted for varying tube lengths (e.g., mixed production of 0.6m and 1.2m units). The flat belt system drastically reduces breakage rates of elongated glassware during transfer. Coupled with a segregated burn-in zone, this configuration significantly enhances the outbound reliability and yield of finished lighting products.
